Wellington Institute of Technology (WelTec) has had an important place in the Wellington region for over 100 years and is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in vocational education. Academic programme

WelTec offers a broad range of approved qualifications from certificates and diplomas to degree and graduate diploma programmes. The programme levels allow for staged pathways through the qualifications and range from Level 4 to Level 7 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework.

With over 11,000 part and full-time students WelTec has flexible delivery options for almost any type of study option. WelTec also offers pathway programmes in English language and academic study for those who need preparation for their area of study. International students can enrol directly from high school or after completing professional qualifications or work experience in their home countries.

WelTec offers a range of services and support to students. In addition to WelTec’s student services your international team will provide you with pastoral care and special support in your study, home life and recreational activities, or in any other areas that you may require. Wellington Institute of Technology has agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students published by the Minister of Education http://www.minedu.govt.nz/goto/international . WelTec International organises activities and events throughout the academic year that encourage and support international students to join in and take part in sports, cultural activities, local events, and the day to day social activities that are part of the New Zealand lifestyle.
