Mercury Bay Area School is set in the unique and beautiful region of the Coromandel called Mercury Bay.

A unique feature of Mercury Bay Area School is that we are a composite (Area) school and can cater for the education of students aged from 5 to19 years on a single campus, so we have a family atmosphere.

We pride ourselves in being a strong community school, able to offer a wide range of academic and co-curricular subjects, set in the unique and beautiful region of the Coromandel called Mercury Bay.

We have a strong dedicated, professional teaching staff who deliver quality programmes for all ages, who enjoy academic success at all levels.

International Students are made welcome at our school and are provided with an effective and extensive pastoral system for their care and well-being. Accommodation is in carefully selected homestays. This enables students to experience New Zealand culture first hand with their caring host families.
