Student Story

Coming to New Zealand I wanted to focus on my favourite sport of golf, instead my focus shifted and I tried out other sports, which at home for me would not be possible or accessible. The school sport teams and the Outdoor Education course provided me with challenges and options I had never thought of doing before. Not only does Otago Boys High represent culture and tradition, but also striving for excellence and fun in sports. During my exchange year I was fortunate enough to participate in multiple camps using the outdoors and take part in water sports like rowing and sailing. The goal of an exchange year is to learn new skills and collect experiences and I found that Otago Boys provides a playground of opportunities waiting to be explored.
