Taradale High School provides ESOL classes from elementary to advanced levels. Class sizes are small and teachers experienced. The availability of multi-level education allows students to study subjects at different levels according to their ability. All students have an orientation programme before being placed in class. International staff are friendly and supportive. Teacher Aides provide additional support in the student’s first language where possible.
Students live with a New Zealand family. Homestay accommodation is arranged by the school. All homestays are police checked. Consideration is given to student requests and preferences where possible. Most homestays are located in the Taradale suburb within a short walking distance of the school.
