About ISENZ Trips
After ISENZ was established in 2003 by Russell Trethewey, international student trips soon became an organically formed part of the services we began to offer.
It became apparent over time that trips were an obvious extension to the business that held a lot of potential for growth. The international students we enrolled into New Zealand high schools naturally wanted to see more of the beautiful country they were living in. Russell was approached by a small number of students initially, asking him to take them on small tours around the North and South Island during the school holidays with his wife, and they did this on an informal basis at first.
Now, 15 years later, ISENZ Trips are a very significant part of the business. We currently run 3 or 4 trips per year for international students throughout NZ, and have, on average, 40-50 students per trip. Our trips have become so popular over the years as a result of extensive promotion through our well-established channels (i.e. our off-shore partner agents, our affiliated high schools and word-of-mouth from students), that we have the tough job of turning away many students each trip when they book out well in advance. Not a bad problem to have!
