The Institute is located in Manukau City in Auckland, the gateway to New Zealand. Continuing growth in both population and economy brings job opportunities for students and graduates alike.

Manukau Institute of Technology has six campuses across Auckland. Many of our campuses and study facilities are located right in the heart of industry for the skills, networks and contacts you need.

Specialised teaching and learning facilities

Because we work closely with industry, we also have specialised teaching and learning facilities throughout Auckland including:

  • Floristry at Floramax in Mt Wellington
  • Nursing at the Ko Awatea Nursing Hub at Middlemore Hospital
  • Motorsport facilities at Pukekohe Park Raceway
  • Horticulture at Unitec’s Mt Albert Campus
  • A range of community learning centres within the greater Auckland region.

Manukau Institute of Technology’s seven faculties and 13 schools offer 168 programmes in 36 study areas. Whatever you want to study, we have more than 1,500 certificates, diplomas or degrees that deliver the practical skills employers want. There is a 24-hour emergency line for all international students enrolled at Manukau Institute of Technology.

Accommodation

Our International team can arrange a homestay for you if you request this or tick ‘yes’ for homestay on your application form. The cost is $221NZD per week for students staying in the Manukau area, or $241NZD per week for those staying in the Auckland city centre.

Manukau Institute of Technology also offers accommodation at the ‘Student Village’ hostel. It costs NZ$145 per week, excluding meals, plus an amenities fee of $80 per semester ($160 full year).
